Giresun University will organise an “Information Session on COST Actions” to introduce researchers to opportunities for participating in European research networks and developing international scientific collaborations.

The session will be delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Başustaoğlu Şahin, who will provide an overview of COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) and the opportunities it offers researchers. The presentation will address key topics including what COST is, how the application process works, how researchers can participate in COST Actions and Working Groups, and what funding, networking, and mobility opportunities are available to participants.

Drawing on her own COST experience, the speaker will also share examples of good practices and practical recommendations for researchers interested in becoming actively involved in COST networks. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, providing participants with an opportunity to raise questions about COST Actions and participation processes.

The event will take place online via GRUMeet on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at 20:00 (Türkiye time).
